GAUTIER, Miss — Authorities are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred Saturday evening on Ladnier Road in Gautier, leaving one person dead and two others injured.
According to Gautier Police Chief David Bever, officers were called to the scene around 6:00 p.m. after reports of multiple gunshots. Upon arrival, officers found three individuals suffering from gunshot wounds.
One of the victims, identified as Arreyon Lett, was critically injured and later pronounced dead. Two other victims were also wounded, though their conditions have not yet been released.
Police remained on scene late into the night, gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses as part of their ongoing investigation. No suspects have been publicly identified, and a motive has not been determined.
Chief Bever said the department is working tirelessly to find those responsible. “We are committed to getting answers for the family of Arreyon Lett and ensuring justice is served,” he stated.
