NASHVILLE, Tenn — A 17-year-old has died following a shooting outside Forest Park Apartments late Saturday night, Metro Nashville Police said.
According to investigators, Ja’Quan Nolan, 17, was fatally shot after an argument between two females escalated into gunfire. The incident occurred around 10:20 p.m. on Highway 70 South.
Police said a 24-year-old man also sustained a graze wound during the shooting. He was treated at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and later taken into custody on an unrelated warrant after denying involvement in the shooting.
Detectives with the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) said the District Attorney’s Office is assisting with the ongoing investigation. Authorities have not yet released details about potential suspects or arrests related to the shooting.
