Victim Identified as Montana Solomon in Fredericton Homicide Investigation

FREDERICTON, New Brunswick  — Police have identified the victim in a homicide investigation that has shaken the Fredericton community.

According to the Fredericton Police Force, officers were called to a wooded area near Two Nations Crossing on the city’s north side Monday morning after a report of human remains being found. The victim has since been identified as 28-year-old Montana Solomon, a resident of Fredericton.

Authorities confirmed the case is being treated as a homicide, and the Major Crime Team is leading the ongoing investigation. Police said the circumstances surrounding Solomon’s death remain under review, and an autopsy has been scheduled to determine the exact cause.

At this time, police believe the incident to be isolated and stated there is no ongoing threat to public safety. No arrests have been made.
