FAIRFIELD, Ohio — Authorities are investigating a tragic early morning crash that claimed the life of 19-year-old Alexis Clinebell of Moscow, Ohio, on Monday.
According to Fairfield Police, the single-vehicle accident occurred around 2:52 a.m. at the intersection of Ross Road and Woodridge Boulevard. Emergency crews arrived to find a heavily damaged car that had overturned multiple times. Two people were inside the vehicle and both sustained injuries.
One occupant was rushed to University of Cincinnati West Chester Hospital for treatment, while Clinebell succumbed to her injuries at the scene, according to the Butler County Coroner’s Office. Officials determined her cause of death to be trauma sustained during the crash.
The Fairfield Police Department’s Traffic Investigation Unit is working to reconstruct the incident, reviewing possible contributing factors such as speed, road conditions, and driver distraction. The roadway was temporarily closed for several hours as crews cleared debris and gathered evidence.
Local residents have expressed growing concern over the safety of Ross Road, noting that the area has seen several accidents over the years. Some neighbors are calling for improved lighting and additional safety measures to prevent future tragedies.
