RAPID CITY, S.D — Authorities have released the names of the victims involved in a serious crash on Interstate 90 in Pennington County on October 21.
Brandon Lee Ice, 43, of Rapid City, tragically lost his life after his vehicle, traveling westbound on I-90 about two miles west of Rapid City, crossed the median and collided with another vehicle driven by 43-year-old Jason Emsley Nisen of Box Elder. Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but Ice succumbed to his injuries.
Nisen was transported to a Rapid City hospital with life-threatening injuries. Officials have not released further details about his condition.
The South Dakota Department of Public Safety continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. No additional information has been made public at this time.
