King William, Va. (October 28, 2025) – Virginia State Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred early Tuesday morning in the 1300 block of King William Road (Route 30).
According to investigators, the crash happened at approximately 6:29 a.m. when a Honda Civic traveling northbound on Route 30 crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a Hyundai Tucson.
The driver of the Civic, identified as 26-year-old Jerean Rogers of King William, was partially ejected from the vehicle and pronounced deceased at the scene. Police reported that Rogers was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The driver of the Hyundai Tucson suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The road was closed for several hours as authorities conducted their investigation and cleared the scene. The Virginia State Police Crash Reconstruction Team continues to investigate the cause of the collision.
