PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. — A young life was tragically cut short early Friday morning after a fatal pedestrian collision along Bladensburg Road. The Prince George’s County Police Department confirmed that the victim has been identified as 20-year-old Chester Brandon of Gaithersburg.

According to investigators, the crash occurred on October 31, 2025, at approximately 12:40 a.m. Officers were called to the 3300 block of Bladensburg Road, where they found Brandon lying in the roadway suffering from severe injuries. Despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Preliminary findings indicate that a vehicle traveling southbound on Bladensburg Road struck Brandon. The driver involved immediately stopped and remained at the scene. Authorities confirmed the driver was not injured and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.

The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is working to determine the circumstances that led to the crash. It is not yet clear whether speed, lighting conditions, or other factors played a role.
