TOLEDO, Ohio — A woman has been taken into custody following a deadly shooting at a Toledo bar early Saturday morning, according to the Toledo Police Department (TPD).
Detectives say 32-year-old Andreania Pruitt has been arrested and charged with murder and felonious assault in connection to the shooting that occurred around 2:40 a.m. on Saturday, November 1, at Bottom Line, a bar located on Starr Avenue.
When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered two adult men suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were rushed to nearby hospitals. Tragically, 35-year-old Devonta Miller succumbed to his injuries a short time later. The second man, whose name has not been released, is expected to survive, according to police.
Investigators revealed that Pruitt was in a relationship with Miller. Preliminary findings suggest that an altercation broke out between Miller and the other man, which escalated before the shooting occurred.
Pruitt was taken into custody shortly after the incident and is scheduled to appear in court for arraignment on Monday morning.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the events that led up to the shooting. Anyone with additional information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111.
This tragic incident has left the community mourning the loss of Devonta Miller, while police work to piece together what led to the deadly confrontation inside the Toledo bar.
