Authorities Investigate Fatal Shooting in Wilkinsburg

Wilkinsburg, PA — Authorities are investigating the death of a young man found inside a vehicle in Wilkinsburg on Tuesday morning, November 4, 2025.

Wilkinsburg Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Penn Avenue at approximately 7:36 a.m. after receiving reports of an unresponsive individual inside a car. Upon arrival, officers discovered 21-year-old Quaylyn Carter of Monroeville, who had been shot multiple times. Carter was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Allegheny County Police Department Homicide Unit is assisting Wilkinsburg Police with the ongoing investigation. Authorities have not released additional information regarding potential suspects or the motive behind the shooting, as the case remains under active investigation.
