Motorcyclist Killed in Andrews Highway Crash Identified as Tucker Lee Boring

MIDLAND, Texas — A motorcyclist was killed Tuesday night following a collision on Andrews Highway, according to the Midland Police Department.

Officers responded to the 700 block of Andrews Highway at approximately 9:46 p.m. after receiving reports of a crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck. Upon arrival, police found a maroon 2009 GMC pickup with significant damage to its front left quarter panel. Investigators determined that the truck had been struck by a 2026 Kawasaki EX6 motorcycle.

Authorities identified the motorcycle driver as Tucker Lee Boring. According to investigators, Boring was traveling westbound in the outside lane at a high rate of speed when the GMC exited a private drive. The motorcycle collided with the pickup, ejecting both Boring and his passenger.

Boring was pronounced deceased at the scene. His passenger was transported to Midland Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.

Officials believe that speed was a contributing factor in the crash. The Midland Police Department confirmed that next of kin have been notified, and the investigation remains ongoing.

Authorities are urging drivers to remain cautious and aware of their surroundings, especially at intersections and private drives along busy roadways like Andrews Highway.
