In Loving Memory of John Acosta
With deep sadness, family and friends mourn the loss of John Acosta, 33, of Navasota, Texas, who tragically lost his life in a single-vehicle crash early Wednesday morning, November 5, 2025, in Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana.
According to the Louisiana State Police, the crash occurred shortly after 2:00 a.m. on Louisiana Highway 108 near Ron Hall Drive. John was traveling southbound in his 2025 GMC Denali pickup when, for reasons still under investigation, his vehicle failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway, and struck multiple objects before coming to rest. Despite being properly restrained by a seatbelt, John sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Troopers with Louisiana State Police Troop D responded to the incident. A toxicology sample was collected as part of the standard investigation to determine if impairment played any role in the crash, though results are still pending.
John Acosta was known as a hardworking, kind-hearted, and loyal man who loved his family deeply and approached life with gratitude and determination. He had a bright smile that could lift anyone’s spirits and a caring nature that left a mark on everyone who knew him. Whether spending time with loved ones, helping friends, or chasing his goals, John lived each day with purpose and heart.
His unexpected passing leaves a void that words cannot fill, but his memory will live on through the love he shared, the laughter he brought, and the lives he touched.
