It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Kyle Ferree, a devoted LG&E lineman, who tragically lost his life on Thursday, November 6, 2025, while performing the work he loved. Details of the workplace accident have not been released, but his sudden passing leaves family, friends, and coworkers heartbroken.

Kyle was a proud member of IBEW Local 2100 and a man known for his dedication, skill, and unwavering loyalty. A loving husband to Hunter Ferree and a devoted father to their young children, Kyle’s life was defined by his commitment to his family and his crew. He had a deep love for the outdoors, enjoying hunting, fishing, and spending time surrounded by nature. His generosity, strength, and dependable nature made him a cherished friend, colleague, and neighbor.

A graduate of Corydon Central High School, Kyle lived in Corydon, Indiana, and hailed from New Middletown, Indiana. His untimely death leaves his young family facing immediate challenges, including lost income, housing, bills, childcare, and counseling, as they navigate the difficult road of grief.

In honor of Kyle, his work family has established a fund to support his wife and children during this challenging time. All donations go directly to the family through NSUJL/Help a Hero to provide for essential needs and help them begin to rebuild their lives.

The community is invited to celebrate Kyle’s life by supporting his family and remembering his kindness, dedication, and the love he shared with everyone around him.
