WINDSOR, S.C. — Authorities are investigating after the body of an Aiken man was discovered early Saturday morning, November 8, 2025, at Windsor Recreational Park, a quiet community park located on Old School Road.
According to Aiken County Coroner Darryl Ables, the victim has been identified as 29-year-old Jamal Richardson. Richardson was pronounced dead at 5:35 a.m. from a gunshot wound. The tragic discovery was made inside the 10-acre public park, which features a playground and open field often frequented by families and residents.
The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office and the Coroner’s Office are jointly investigating the fatal shooting. An autopsy for Richardson is scheduled to take place next week in Newberry as authorities work to determine the circumstances surrounding his death.
