TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — With heavy hearts, family and friends are mourning the tragic passing of 21-year-old Cierra Brena Anthony, who lost her life early Sunday morning, November 9, in a multi-vehicle crash on I-359 in Tuscaloosa.
According to the Tuscaloosa Police Department, the accident occurred around 2 a.m. and involved seven vehicles. Cierra was a passenger in a car that was rear-ended by another vehicle. After the first collision, she and the driver got out to check on the other motorist involved. Tragically, a second crash followed, striking their parked car and pushing it into Cierra, causing fatal injuries. Despite immediate response from emergency crews, she passed away at the scene.
Authorities say two drivers involved in the crash have been charged with DUI, and the investigation remains ongoing.
