BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The Birmingham Police Department (BPD) has confirmed the arrest of 26-year-old Brittney Watson, of Brighton, Alabama, in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred Saturday evening, November 8, 2025, in the 3200 block of 32nd Street North.
According to investigators, the victim has been identified as Anson Quandarius Henderson, who was shot and killed during the incident. Officers from BPD’s North Precinct quickly responded to reports of gunfire and located evidence indicating that shots had been fired into an occupied dwelling.
Authorities say Watson attempted to flee the scene but was apprehended by officers near 32nd Avenue and 32nd Place North shortly after the shooting. She was taken into custody without further incident.
Following an initial investigation, Watson was charged with Murder and Discharging a Firearm into an Occupied Dwelling. She is currently being held at the Jefferson County Jail without bond.
Detectives continue to investigate the circumstances leading up to the shooting, though police have not released information about a possible motive at this time.
