SAUGUS, Calif. — It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we share the tragic news of a fatal crash that claimed the life of Brad Whitley, 55, of Simi Valley, early Saturday morning.

According to officials with the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office, Whitley was identified as the man who died in the devastating single-vehicle crash in Saugus. The tragic accident occurred just before 7 a.m. on David Way and Bouquet Canyon Road, when a truck collided with a pole.

Emergency responders from the Los Angeles County Fire Department arrived swiftly at the scene, but despite their efforts, Whitley was sadly pronounced dead upon their arrival. A second man who was also in the truck became trapped in the wreckage for more than an hour. Fire crews worked tirelessly to free him before he was airlifted by helicopter to Henry Mayo Hospital for emergency treatment.

Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash as the community mourns the loss of a beloved man whose life was taken far too soon.

Brad Whitley will be remembered for his kindness, his warm spirit, and the love he shared with those around him. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends, and all who knew him during this heartbreaking time.
