CASPER, Wyo. — The Casper community is in mourning following a devastating head-on collision on Friday night that claimed the life of 43-year-old Mandy Lee Butler. The Natrona County Coroner’s Office, alongside the Casper Police Department and Wyoming Highway Patrol, continues to investigate the crash, which occurred in the 5300 block of CY Avenue.

Authorities say the collision happened shortly after 9:00 p.m., when a vehicle traveling in the wrong direction struck another car head-on. Emergency crews responded immediately, providing aid to all involved. Tragically, Ms. Butler was pronounced dead after being transported to the hospital. The other occupants of her vehicle suffered life-threatening injuries, while the driver of the wrong-way car was seriously hurt but is expected to survive.
