In Loving Memory of Sue Huss: EMS Director, Paramedic, and Beloved Community Leader

It is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow that we share the sudden and heartbreaking loss of Sue Huss, EMS Director and Paramedic of the Tonica Ambulance Service. Sue passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind a legacy defined by compassion, leadership, and unwavering service to others.

Sue was more than a dedicated professional—she was the heartbeat of the Tonica Fire Department, a trusted mentor to her colleagues, and a friend to all who had the privilege of knowing her. With years of devoted service, she touched countless lives across the Tonica community and beyond, offering not only emergency medical care but comfort, kindness, and strength in the moments people needed it most.

Her passing leaves an immeasurable void—not just in the department she led with integrity and care, but in the hearts of those who relied on her wisdom, her warmth, and her relentless dedication to helping others.

At this time, service arrangements are still being finalized. We will share details as they become available.

Please keep Sue’s family, friends, and the entire Tonica Fire and EMS community in your thoughts and prayers as we grieve the loss of such a remarkable woman. May we honor her memory by carrying forward the compassion and commitment she demonstrated every day.

Rest in peace, Sue. Your light will continue to guide us. You will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always honored.
