MONTGOMERY, Ala. — A woman was injured in a shooting Thursday afternoon on Atlanta Highway, according to Montgomery police.
Police Cpl. James Dozier told Action 8 News that officers were called to a hospital shortly after 4 p.m., where the woman was being treated for what is believed to be a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
The shooting reportedly occurred in the 3100 block of Atlanta Highway, located between Federal Drive and Coliseum Boulevard. Authorities did not release further details about the circumstances leading to the incident or potential suspects.
The investigation is ongoing, and Montgomery police are urging anyone with information to contact the department.
