BAY CITY, Mich. – Authorities report a 42-year-old Bay City resident has died following an incident late Monday night on the city’s east side.
According to the Bay City Department of Public Safety, officers and firefighters responded at approximately 11:19 p.m. on September 1, 2025, to the River Walk path near Breaker Cove after reports of an unresponsive man. Despite lifesaving efforts by bystanders and emergency responders, the victim, identified as Pedro Nunez, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators learned that Nunez had been riding an electric bicycle home when the incident occurred. Witnesses walking nearby discovered him lying on the ground with the e-bike close by. Police said there were no immediate signs of foul play.
An autopsy is pending as the investigation continues.
