LYNCHBURG, Va — Authorities have released the identity of the motorcyclist killed in a crash Sunday evening in Lynchburg.
The Lynchburg Police Department says officers responded to the 3100 block of Odd Fellows Road around 8:07 p.m. for reports of a motorcycle accident. The rider, identified as 35-year-old Coty John Walshaw of Forest, Virginia, was transported to Lynchburg General Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
“Our condolences go out to his family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time,” the department said in a statement.
