ST. GEORGE, Utah — Authorities have identified the victims of a deadly wrong-way crash on I-15 that occurred Sunday, claiming three lives and injuring two others.

The Utah Highway Patrol reported that 89-year-old Norene Jones of St. George was driving southbound in the northbound lanes near Exit 5 when her vehicle collided head-on with a Toyota carrying four passengers. The crash also claimed the lives of 68-year-old Catherine Gray and her husband, 68-year-old Jeffry Alan Gray, both of Washington City.

Two young women in the Gray vehicle, described as being in their late teens to early 20s, were hospitalized with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

Officials are still investigating the circumstances that led to the wrong-way entry, but the crash serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of driving errors and the devastating consequences of head-on collisions.

The community is grieving the loss of the three individuals, who are remembered for their kindness, warmth, and the positive impact they had on friends, family, and neighbors. Utah Highway Patrol continues to urge drivers to stay vigilant, obey traffic signs, and ensure safe entry and exit on all highways.
