CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A young man was tragically murdered early Tuesday morning while riding an ATV on Beatties Ford Road in Charlotte. The incident occurred around 6:30 a.m. on September 2, 2025, when the victim, riding shirtless, was reportedly followed by a suspect motivated by jealousy.
According to authorities, the suspect shot the victim multiple times, causing him to fall from the ATV and die at the scene. Neighbors who heard the gunfire immediately called 911. Paramedics arrived shortly after but pronounced the victim deceased on-site.
Police are actively investigating the shooting. No arrests have been made at this time, and the suspect’s identity has not been released. Investigators are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
