OKLAHOMA CITY – Authorities have released the name of the woman killed in a deadly stabbing late last month in northwest Oklahoma City.
According to the Oklahoma City Police Department, officers were called to a wooded area near NW 19th Street around 10 p.m. on Saturday, August 23. When they arrived, they discovered a woman fatally stabbed and a man suffering from critical stab wounds.
The victim has been identified as 34-year-old Cerise Lewis. The injured man was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, though his current condition has not been released.
Investigators believe Lewis and the man had been staying in a nearby transient camp. The circumstances leading up to the stabbing remain unclear.
No arrests have been made, and police say the investigation is ongoing.
