Emmanuel Tucker has been identified as the victim in a fatal shooting that occurred on August 29 in Siloam Springs, according to Police Chief Derek Spicer.
Two suspects are facing charges in connection with Tucker’s death. Braylon Farris, 19, has been charged with capital murder, first-degree terroristic threatening, filing a false police report, and tampering with physical evidence. Kyle McIntyre, 15, is facing a charge of accomplice to capital murder.
On Tuesday, September 3, Benton County Circuit Judge Brad Karren ordered the affidavits for both suspects to be sealed, citing the ongoing investigation and the possibility of additional co-defendants being at large.
The shooting occurred around 3:20 p.m. on August 29, when officers responded to a 911 call reporting gunfire outside an apartment complex on the 300 block of Meadow Court. When police arrived, they found Tucker suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. Investigators believe Farris fired the shot that killed him. A motive has not yet been released.
Court records show Farris is being held at the Benton County Detention Center on a $1 million bond, with his arraignment scheduled for October 6. McIntyre’s arraignment is set for October 13.
