WACO, Texas — Authorities have identified the victim in a fatal crash that occurred Sunday afternoon on China Spring Road.
The Waco Police Department confirmed that 72-year-old Virginia Martinez was killed in the two-vehicle collision reported around 12:25 p.m. on August 31 in the 10000 block of China Spring Road.
Investigators say a green Dodge Ram traveling northbound attempted to turn west into a nearby parking lot when it collided with a southbound silver Dodge Ram. Multiple passengers from both vehicles were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Martinez, who was a passenger in the green Dodge Ram, succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead. Police have notified her next of kin.
No arrests have been made in connection with the crash as the investigation remains ongoing.
