MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. — Deputies with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office have arrested an 18-year-old Paducah man in connection with a violent assault and kidnapping reported late last month.
On August 30, deputies were called to the 7000 block of Noble Road for a welfare check. When they arrived, they found a man walking along the roadway covered in blood and suffering from serious injuries. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Detectives later learned that the victim had arranged to meet Corban Koster, 18, of Paducah. During that meeting, investigators say Koster attacked the victim with a ratchet, stole his belongings, and forced him into the trunk of a vehicle. Koster allegedly drove the victim to Noble Road, where he abandoned him.
On September 2, deputies and detectives located Koster at a residence in the 6000 block of Greenfield Drive. He was arrested without incident and booked into custody.
Charges filed against Koster include:
- Kidnapping (Adult) – Class B Felony
- Assault 1st Degree – Class B Felony
- Robbery 1st Degree – Class B Felony
The sheriff’s office said the investigation is ongoing and additional details may be released as they become available.
