Police Identify Victim in Deadly North Little Rock Shooting

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Authorities have identified the victim in a deadly shooting that occurred early Sunday morning in North Little Rock.

According to police, officers responded to the 300 block of East Bethany Road around 2:55 a.m. on September 1 following reports of gunfire. When they arrived, they discovered a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound.

The victim has been identified as 50-year-old Robert Mathis. He was transported to a nearby hospital but later died from his injuries.

At this time, investigators have not released any information regarding possible suspects. The case remains under active investigation.
