SAN DIEGO — Authorities have identified the man killed in a broad-daylight shooting in the Miramar area earlier this week as 57-year-old Markus Vega.

According to the San Diego Police Department, the incident occurred around 4 p.m. Wednesday in the 8600 block of Production Avenue, near Camino Santa Fe. Vega was seated in the front passenger seat of a parked vehicle when an assailant opened fire.
