WYANDOT COUNTY, Ohio — The Ohio State Highway Patrol has identified Jacob T. Belsky, 29, of Millbury, Ohio, as the victim of a deadly two-vehicle crash that occurred Wednesday afternoon in Crane Township.
According to troopers from the Bucyrus Post, the crash happened on September 10, 2025, at approximately 2:03 p.m. on U.S. 23. Investigators say a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by Belsky, was traveling northbound behind a 2020 Freightliner Cascadia pulling a 2021 Great Dane van trailer. The Freightliner, driven by 46-year-old Temya Brown of Southfield, Michigan, had slowed for traffic ahead when Belsky’s vehicle failed to maintain an assured clear distance and struck the rear of the trailer.
Belsky was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities confirmed that drugs and alcohol are not suspected as factors in the crash. His next of kin has been notified.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted on scene by the Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office, Wyandot County EMS, the Upper Sandusky Fire Department, and Liverpool Towing.
The crash remains under investigation as troopers work to piece together the full circumstances surrounding the collision.
