COON RAPIDS, Minn. — Authorities have identified Isaiah Lewis Whitlock, 15, of Ramsey, Minnesota, as the victim of a fatal crash in Coon Rapids on Sunday afternoon.
According to the Coon Rapids Police Department, the incident occurred on September 7, 2025, at approximately 4:40 p.m. near the 3300 block of Northdale Blvd NW. Investigators say Whitlock was operating a dirt bike along the southern sidewalk, traveling northwest, when he swerved into the roadway at the Marigold Street NW intersection.
At that moment, a pickup truck driven by a 53-year-old man from Oak Grove, Minnesota, was traveling southeast on Northdale Blvd and struck the dirt bike. Whitlock suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported in the crash.
The Minnesota State Patrol, Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office, Coon Rapids Police Department, and the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office are jointly investigating the incident. Officials have stated that no further information will be released at this time.
Whitlock’s death has left the local community mourning the sudden loss of a young life, as investigators continue working to determine the full circumstances of the tragic crash.
