Six Stockton Victims Identified in Napa County Deadly Van Crash

NAPA COUNTY, Calif  – Authorities have released the names of the six victims killed in a deadly van crash Sunday evening on Pope Valley Road. The Napa County Coroner’s Office identified the deceased on Wednesday as:

  • Araon Ruiz Ruiz, 39, of Stockton
  • Beymar Reynosa Rodriguez, 32, of Stockton
  • Demetrio Celerino Francisco, 39, of Stockton
  • Pedro Lopez Gomez, 57, of Stockton
  • Loreto Richardo Hernandez, 42, of Stockton
  • Fernando Sliverio, 34, of Stockton

According to investigators, the victims were passengers in a van driven by 53-year-old Norberto Celerino of Stockton, who now faces multiple felony charges in connection with the crash.

The Napa County District Attorney’s Office announced that Celerino is charged with six felony counts of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and one felony count of driving under the influence causing injury, with two or more prior DUI convictions.

Officials said Celerino was arrested following the wreck and booked into the Napa County Department of Corrections. He appeared in court Wednesday and is scheduled to return on Friday.

The crash has devastated Stockton’s community, leaving families mourning six lives lost in a tragedy authorities say could have been prevented.
