Raymond Hanner Sr. – Bogalusa Man Killed in Livingston Parish Crash

HOLDEN, La. (Sept. 8, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash on U.S. 190 in Livingston Parish has claimed the life of 66-year-old Raymond Hanner Sr. of Bogalusa, according to Louisiana State Police Troop A.

The crash occurred shortly after 8:30 p.m. east of LA 441. Investigators say a 2011 Peterbilt tractor-trailer was traveling west on U.S. 190 when the driver stopped and attempted to back into a private driveway on the eastbound side of the roadway. At that time, a 2000 GMC Yukon XL driven by Hanner was traveling east and struck the left rear of the tractor-trailer, causing the Yukon to overturn.

Troopers confirmed that Hanner, who was unrestrained, was partially ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. Two properly restrained adult passengers suffered serious injuries, while an improperly restrained juvenile passenger sustained minor injuries. All passengers were transported to local hospitals for treatment.

The driver of the Peterbilt was properly restrained and was not injured. Investigators say impairment is an unknown factor at this time, though routine toxicology samples have been collected for analysis.

Louisiana State Police said the crash remains under investigation.
