With broken hearts and deep sorrow, the community of Kennesaw, Georgia, mourns the tragic loss of Cara Atkins, who passed away on July 9, 2025, at the young age of 23 following a devastating accident on I-75 Southbound. Cara’s sudden passing has left her loved ones, friends, and all who knew her reeling from the unimaginable loss of a bright and beautiful soul.

Cara was known for her vibrant spirit, boundless kindness, and unwavering compassion. She was a natural light in the lives of those around her—someone whose contagious smile and joyful energy could brighten even the darkest days. Her presence was powerful yet gentle, and her ability to make others feel seen and valued was something truly rare.

A dedicated student and talented athlete, Cara approached life with determination, discipline, and grace. Whether on the field, in the classroom, or spending time with loved ones, she gave her all and inspired those around her to do the same. She shared a deep and meaningful bond with her parents, who were her greatest supporters and with whom she shared countless cherished memories.

Cara’s love extended far beyond people—she had a special place in her heart for animals, often volunteering her time and affection to care for them. Her empathy and warmth were evident in the way she treated every living being with respect and kindness.
