Fresno Police Seek Public’s Help in Solving Shooting Death of 24-Year-Old Taylor Washington
FRESNO, CA – The Fresno Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in solving the fatal shooting of 24-year-old Taylor Washington, who was gunned down on the evening of Thursday, April 10, 2025, near Bardell Avenue and George Avenue.
Officers responded to the area at approximately 5:07 p.m. after a ShotSpotter activation alerted them to multiple rounds fired. When they arrived, they discovered Washington suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to Community Regional Medical Center (CRMC), where he was later pronounced deceased.
Detectives from the Fresno Police Department’s Homicide Unit quickly arrived on scene to begin their investigation. Based on early findings, it appears Washington was shot near the intersection and then attempted to flee on foot, collapsing in a nearby backyard. Officers recovered several shell casings at the scene and found multiple vehicles had also been hit by the gunfire.
As of now, no arrests have been made, and the identity of the shooter remains unknown. Detectives believe other individuals were in the area at the time of the shooting and may hold valuable information that could help move the investigation forward.
