TAYLORS, S.C. – The Greenville County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim of a fatal two-vehicle crash that occurred Friday night in Taylors.
Troopers with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said the crash happened around 9:35 p.m. on SC 290 near Locust Road. A Honda 4-door traveling east crossed the center line and collided head-on with a Subaru SUV traveling west.
The driver of the Honda, identified as Christopher Lee Waldner, 35, of Taylors, sustained severe injuries and was pronounced dead at 9:54 p.m. Two people inside the Subaru were also injured in the collision.
Following an autopsy on Saturday, the coroner confirmed Waldner’s cause of death was multiple blunt force injuries, with the manner of death ruled accidental.
The crash remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
