COLDEN, N.Y. — The Erie County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a tragic single-vehicle crash in the Town of Colden that claimed the life of 39-year-old Anne Archibald of Tempe, Arizona.
The crash happened on Wednesday, September 24, around 6:45 p.m. at the intersection of Heath Road and Hayes Hollow Road. Deputies responding to the scene found Archibald’s vehicle in a ditch along Heath Road. Emergency responders performed CPR after detecting a pulse, and she was rushed to Erie County Medical Center.
Despite medical efforts, Archibald passed away and was officially pronounced dead at 1:17 a.m. on Sunday, September 28.
The Erie County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit and Crash Investigation Unit continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident.
