DELTA COUNTY, Mich — The Michigan State Police (MSP) Gladstone Post has confirmed that Brenda Meadows, a Gladstone woman previously reported missing, has been found deceased.

On Friday afternoon, September 26, troopers located Meadows inside her vehicle in a remote area of Delta County. Authorities said no foul play is suspected in connection with her death.

“We offer our condolences to Brenda’s family, friends, and all who cared for her,” said Lt. Ben Eckola, Public Information Officer for the MSP Eighth District. “The MSP will continue to offer support to those affected by this difficult loss.”

Meadows had last been seen in the Gladstone area around mid-day on September 15, according to MSP. Following her disappearance, law enforcement and community members joined in search efforts.

Officials have not released further details regarding the circumstances of her death, but they emphasized that the investigation will remain open until all findings are complete.

The tragic discovery has left the Gladstone community mourning the loss of Brenda Meadows, while remembering her as a friend and loved one whose absence will be deeply felt.
