LEXINGTON, Ky. — Authorities have confirmed the identity of a man who tragically lost his life in a vehicle-related accident earlier today in Lexington.

The Fayette County Coroner’s Office identified the deceased as 46-year-old Abomakese Byummeh of Lexington. The coroner’s report listed the cause of death as multiple blunt force injuries, and the passing has been ruled an accident.

The fatal incident occurred around 1:00 p.m. at the intersection of Versailles Road and Red Mile Road, when Byummeh was struck by a vehicle under circumstances that remain under investigation. Emergency personnel responded to the scene, but unfortunately, Byummeh succumbed to his injuries.
