Milwaukee, WI – The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the teenager fatally stabbed near the Mitchell Park Domes on September 29 as 18-year-old Jaquveon Wright.
According to investigators, the incident occurred around 2:20 p.m. in the 800 block of South 22nd Street, just two blocks away from the Domes. Authorities say Wright was involved in an altercation with his cousin when the stabbing took place. He was later pronounced dead from his injuries.
The Milwaukee Police Department confirmed that a suspect—identified as Wright’s cousin—is in custody. Criminal charges are expected to be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office, though no formal charges had been filed as of the morning of September 30.
This marks another violent incident in the city, where police data shows 110 homicides so far in 2025. That figure reflects a 9% increase compared to the same period last year, though it is still 15% lower than two years ago.
Authorities say the investigation remains active and ongoing.
