FLETCHER, Ohio – The Miami County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed the death of Shaun Cecil Crabtree, 39, of Conover, following a tragic motorcycle accident in Lostcreek Township on Wednesday afternoon.
Authorities say the crash occurred at approximately 4:51 p.m. at the intersection of North Alcony Conover Road and East Loy Road. According to a preliminary investigation, Mr. Crabtree was operating a motorcycle when it collided with a John Deere farm tractor.
Deputies reported that Mr. Crabtree was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Despite emergency efforts, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Miami County Sheriff’s Office crash reconstruction team has taken over the investigation to determine the contributing factors leading to the collision. Officials stated that this remains an active investigation, and additional details will be released as they become available.
