Jesse Lewis Wanted for Murder After Fatal Shooting in Clark County

CLARK COUNTY, Ky. — Authorities are searching for 31-year-old Jesse Lewis, who is wanted in connection with a deadly shooting that occurred Wednesday morning in Clark County.

Deputies from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence at 400 Athens Boonesboro Rd. 17, where they discovered 47-year-old Michael M. Walker, a Florida resident, deceased from an apparent gunshot wound. His identity was later confirmed by Clark County Coroner Neal Oliver and the Kentucky State Medical Examiner’s Office.

Lewis is now wanted on multiple charges, including murder, theft by unlawful taking (auto), and tampering with physical evidence. Investigators believe he fled the scene and is no longer in the immediate area.

Sheriff Berl Perdue, Jr. emphasized that while Lewis is still at large, there is currently no immediate danger to the public.

Authorities believe Lewis may be driving a blue 2004 Toyota 4Runner with Florida license plate CK25JW. A multi-state alert has been issued, and law enforcement agencies are coordinating efforts to locate and apprehend him.

“This is a tragic and serious case,” said Sheriff Perdue. “We are asking the public to remain vigilant and report any sightings of Jesse Lewis or the vehicle involved. Your assistance could be crucial in helping us bring him into custody.”

Anyone with information on Jesse Lewis’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Clark County Sheriff’s Office or submit tips anonymously through the department’s tip line.

The investigation remains active as the community mourns the loss of Michael Walker and authorities work to deliver justice.
