DULUTH, Minn. — The Duluth Police Department has identified the man killed in an early Friday morning shooting. Officers responded to a call reporting gunfire in the 200 block of West 3rd Street at approximately 12:25 a.m. on October 10. Upon arrival, they discovered a male victim with an apparent gunshot wound.
The victim has been identified as 35-year-old Chazz Toney. Despite the rapid response of emergency personnel, Toney was pronounced deceased at the scene. Authorities have not reported any arrests, and the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting remains active.
Police are urging residents in the area to review any surveillance footage they may have from the night of the incident. Anyone with information that could assist investigators is asked to contact the Duluth Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit at 218-730-5050.
