MIDDLETOWN, Ohio — The Middletown community is mourning after a devastating three-vehicle crash claimed three lives Saturday evening near the intersection of Ohio 122 and Dixie Highway.
According to the Montgomery and Warren County Coroner’s Offices, 88-year-old John Sora of Middletown was pronounced dead on arrival at Atrium Medical Center. Two others, 84-year-old Sandra Sora and 33-year-old Katelynn Williams, were flown by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital, where they later died from their injuries.
Police said the crash occurred shortly after 8 p.m. and involved three vehicles. The intersection remained closed for several hours as officers and emergency crews worked to investigate and clear the scene. The Middletown Division of Police, along with the Butler County Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team (START), continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
At this stage, authorities do not believe speed or impairment were contributing factors. Investigators are asking anyone with information to contact Sgt. Rogers at 513-425-7918.
