Motorcyclist Identified as 29-Year-Old Tyler Ray Dunham Following Fatal Crash on Jimmie Dyess Parkway

AUGUSTA, Ga. — Authorities have identified the victim of a deadly crash that occurred Tuesday evening on Jimmie Dyess Parkway near the I-20 Eastbound on-ramp as 29-year-old Tyler Ray Dunham of Grovetown.

According to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, emergency crews were called to the scene around 8:15 p.m. on October 14, 2025, after reports of a collision involving a 2024 Yamaha motorcycle and a Jeep. Investigators say the motorcycle was traveling north when the Jeep made a left turn onto the interstate ramp, leading to a violent impact.

The collision threw Dunham from his motorcycle, and despite life-saving efforts by first responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and passenger of the Jeep sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Doctors Hospital for treatment.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. At this time, no charges have been filed.

Friends and loved ones are mourning the loss of Tyler Dunham, remembered as a dedicated, adventurous, and kind-hearted man whose passion for motorcycles reflected his love for life. His passing leaves a deep void in the Grovetown community and among those who knew him best.
