AKRON, Ohio — Authorities have identified the woman fatally struck by a vehicle in East Akron on Monday morning as Christine Smith, 64, according to the Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The tragic incident occurred at approximately 6:48 a.m. on October 13, 2025, at the intersection of Kelly Avenue and Triplett Boulevard. Police reported that Smith was struck by a vehicle driven by a 37-year-old man. Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but Smith was pronounced dead.
