Aliquippa Mourns the Loss of 24-Year-Old Gevod Tyson Following Fatal Shooting

ALIQUIPPA, Pa. — A tragic shooting in Aliquippa on Tuesday night has claimed the life of 24-year-old Gevod Tyson, authorities confirmed.

Beaver County dispatchers reported that emergency crews were called to the 1100 block of Wade Street, near Maratta Road, around 9:05 p.m. following reports of shots fired. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Tyson suffering from a gunshot wound. He was quickly transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead in the early hours of Wednesday morning, according to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Investigators spent several hours at the scene collecting evidence and speaking with witnesses. At this time, no arrests have been made, and police have not released information regarding a suspect or possible motive.

The loss of Gevod Tyson has left family, friends, and community members heartbroken. Loved ones describe him as a bright young man whose life was cut short far too soon.
