SEATTLE — Authorities are investigating a deadly shooting that took place early Wednesday morning in Seattle’s Northgate neighborhood.
According to the Seattle Police Department, officers responded to reports of gunfire in the parking lot of a hotel located near Northgate Way and Meridian Avenue North. Upon arrival, police discovered a 20-year-old man, known locally as “Scooterverz,” suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. Despite life-saving efforts by first responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
At this time, investigators have not released any information about possible suspects or motives behind the shooting. Crime Scene Investigators (CSI) were on-site for several hours, collecting evidence and documenting the area as homicide detectives worked to piece together the events leading up to the tragic incident.
The identity of the victim has not yet been officially released by the King County Medical Examiner’s Office.
