Brampton, ON — A manhunt is currently underway for 38-year-old Anthony Deschepper, who police have linked to a fatal shooting and an associated abduction earlier Tuesday in Brampton. Residents in the Fort Erie area have been advised to shelter in place as authorities search for the suspect, who is considered armed and dangerous.
Deschepper is described as 5’9”, 175 pounds, clean-shaven with brown hair, last seen wearing a blue hoodie, blue jeans, and carrying a black crossbody bag. Police say the suspect vehicle is a 2024 black Nissan Kicks with Quebec license plate FRV4520.
The search follows the homicide of Savannah Kulla, who was shot at a strip mall parking lot near Queen Street East and Airport Road in Brampton shortly before 2 p.m. Emergency crews pronounced Kulla dead at the scene. Peel Police have confirmed that the abduction linked to Deschepper is believed to be intimate partner-related.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the suspect’s location or the vehicle to contact Peel Police immediately. Residents are reminded to stay indoors, lock doors, and report any suspicious activity as the investigation continues.
This remains an active and developing situation.
