Jeffersontown, Kentucky — Tragedy struck Wednesday afternoon after Airrice ThaArtist, known by his stage name “ThaArt Oftha Struggle,” was found shot to death inside a Jeffersontown apartment complex, and the shooter remains at large.
According to the Jeffersontown Police Department, the shooting occurred shortly after noon in the 2400 block of Arbor Pointe Drive, near Stony Brook Drive behind the Target shopping area. Officers arrived to find the apartment door open and discovered the victim, later identified as Airrice, sitting in a chair with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the quick response from police and emergency personnel, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators believe the victim and the suspect likely knew one another, and authorities do not believe there is any ongoing threat to the public. Maj. Brian Foreman stated that the case remains an active investigation as detectives work to identify and locate the shooter.
